If you are like me, you have taken a New Year weight loss resolution countless number of times and even broken them an equal number of times. You know what, I finally discovered that this whole ritual of resolution-taking won’t work for me, so I decided that instead of waiting for another New Year to take a weight loss resolution, why not start doing something right now?
In this article I am going to tell you about the exact strategies which helped me keep my weight loss resolution without me even thinking of the same. Heck, by the time I successfully I lost weight, the first thing I did was to buy myself a pair of well-fitting clothes which have been on my buying list for a long but were unsuitable for my huge belly.
Wouldn’t you like to do the same too? Well, that is possible provided that you follow my fat cutting strategies below. Make your fat friends envious next Christmas by flaunting your flat belly in front of them.
1. Drink water: What, you were expecting some ‘cutting-edge weight loss secret’? Sorry to disappoint you then, but what I am going to tell you here is not secret but darn simple to implement. The very first step you need to take is to increase your water intake. I know it is winter now and you don’t feel thirsty very often, but I would still suggest that you drink as much water as you do in the height of summer. There are three main reasons behind it:
a) Water suppresses your hunger, so you eat less. When you reduce your food intake, weight loss is inevitable.
b) Do you know a lot of your body weight is made up of the toxins which have got accumulated in your intestines because of your unhealthy eating habits? Water clears up all that junk from your body and when that happens, you are sure to lose a few pounds without making any extra effort.

Well, I’m on my fifth week of acutane so if you have any tips at all with brands of chapstick, and how much water you should drink (I’m planning on excersisng daily) If I did half my weight I would need 10 servings of eight ounces. How much should i actually drink with the workout and acutane as well?
Also, I’m trying to lose thirty pounds in three months, so will that affect how the acutane works for me?

In our modern times it seems more difficult than ever to keep from getting over weight. At a time when the workings of the human body are understood the most we are at our wits end with this problem. Over half of the US population is over weight. Many other countries are experiencing the same issues. Our biggest problem in this area is finding the time to address our weight on a daily basis. Here are a few tips for weight loss for the modern weight watcher.
1. All weight loss plans that actually work do the same thing. Teach you how to consume less calories than you burn. A caloric deficit is the goal. This has to be achieved daily. This is weight loss at its basic level. Every successful weight loss diet must meet this formula. We are going to have to eat less than what we are eating now, unless we implement tip # 2
2. More exercise will be the order of the day. Sorry, but this is inevitable if we want to loss those unwanted pounds and keep them off. This can be accomplished in easy and enjoyable ways. Walking, riding a bicycle, hiking, swimming or getting involved in any other outdoor activity that will raise our heart rate is what we are looking for. If we choose to stay indoors we will still have to do things to raise our heart rate such as calisthenics, treadmill, stationary bike, swimming, pumping iron or things like these.
3. A proper balance of #1 and #2. A balance diet and some exercise is what will work best to achieve a caloric deficit. Determine what our calorie intake should be for our age, weight and height (www.weightlosstest.org). We will call that our maintenance intake. Eating this much will have no effect on our weight, it will stay the same. Ad our exercise and we are now in a deficit! If we didn’t add any exercise and just ate 500 calories less each day we again would be in a deficit. This equation can be adjusted any way we like to fit our needs. Here is a bonus. We actually get a 2 for 1 effect with exercise. Not only do we burn calories but we also build muscle. More muscle mass raises our metabolism. More muscle mass means the calories we need for our maintenance intake are increased. This will make it easier for us on the eating side of the equation.
4. Eat healthy. Read labels and learn what is in the foods we eat. A gram of protein or carbohydrates equals 4 calories. A gram of fat on the other hand equals 9 calories! This doesn’t mean fat is bad, just that we need to limit how much of it we consume. Not all fat is created equal either. Saturated fats are not all that good for us whereas unsaturated fats are better. Food that is high in sugars should also be limited. Not only are they very high in calories but are also not healthy. We don’t have to be dietitians; just some basic knowledge coupled with some common sense will go a long way helping us to lose some weight.
Remember, weight loss will eventually become weight management. Maintaining our proper weigh is a lifestyle and not something we jump in and out of. Gradual weight loss is best and healthiest. By eating and excising correctly we will burn fat and build muscle thereby raising our metabolism. If we need to have a little help in keeping track of all of this I would suggest an online diet program. They are great for helping us organize meals, keep track of our calories and an overall ability to stay on track. I would like to lose at least 30pounds over the summer for high school because i am 5′3 175 pounds and im 14 years old. I would like tips for weight loss, metabolism speed increase. Good exercises for weight loss and a good diet plan i was wondering if going semi vegetarian and eating only baked chicken for protein or going full vegetarian and having protein shakes would be better.
Swimming is the best way to reduce weight.
Eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Drink lot more water.
Avoid too much fat content food.

My daughter is 11 and she weighs 110lbs. She doesn’t look like it very much, but her thighs are a little bigger than her friends. But she is also amazing at long distance running, and I’ve seen that she can run 800m almost non-stop. Help? And any additional tips for weight loss, because I think she needs a little.
I believe she is like 5"ft
well it also depends on her height too, that makes a little more difference than age. (if she’s taller she’s likely to weigh more) as for weight loss tips, just keep her running and active every day and try and cook healthier main meals. Also watch her snack intake (it doesn’t matter how much, in fact technically the more the better, just make sure the snacks are healthier like an apple or yogurt with water instead of a bag of potato chips and a pop)

So I want to lose weight now, after putting it off thinking I don’t have to. I am 16, 5′7" and weigh 175. The part I want to cut down is my stomach and, well to put it simple I have man boobs. What are some excersises I can do to cut down my weight, and what are some tips to help me? I don’t even know where to start when it comes to this, but I need to do it. Do you have any advice?
Mostly cardio. Start out walking and/or biking, then jogging, then add running. The only way to lose it is to do cardio. That will cut down the fat. At the same time, try doing bench presses and other chest exercises with dumbbells.
Try something like this… Rest every Sunday. Do upper body every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
Monday – walk 1 mile
Wednesday – walk 2 miles
Friday – walk 2 miles
Monday – walk 2 miles
Weds – walk 3 miles
Friday – walk 3 miles
Monday – walk 3 miles
Weds – walk half mile, jog 1 mile, walk half mile
Friday – walk half mile, jog 1 mile, walk half mile
Monday – walk half mile, jog 1 mile, walk half mile
Weds – jog 1.5 miles, walk half mile
Friday – jog 1.5 miles, walk half mile
Starting the next week, add walking one mile (no more than that) to your upper body on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturdays.
