Do you lose weight continuously when following a weight loss diet?

March 16th, 2009 -- Posted in loss weight diets | 3 Comments »

If I follow a 2 pounds a week weight loss plan for 14 weeks will I lose 28 pounds by the end of it or will there be a point where I will stop losing weight even if I eat the same food/low calorie diet?

You cannot lose weight using Low Fat Diets. Low fat foods have been popular for more than 15 years, but yet our society is getting more overweight as each year passes. This fact alone should tell you that eating a purely low fat menu is not the answer to losing weight.

You won't lose weight using a Low Calorie Dieting Plan either. In fact, eating low calories is the worst thing that you can do to your body, since that will only slow down your body's fat burning engine and ruin all chances of losing weight. Low calorie diets may allow a few pounds of weight loss for the first few days, but then after that all weight loss comes to a halt — known as a dieting plateau. You can never get slim by starving yourself.

A healthy weight loss program is one which does not make you lose weight in such a manner that your health is spoiled. Starvation is not a worthy way to lose weight because most people will fail to abide to the program rules after a certain period.
Many such programs and diet plans go overboard in their attempt to make people lose fat rapidly. Fad diets or starvation diets are a definite no-no. There are so many harmful effects of starving yourself and not eating properly. And many times you would not lose body fat with such fad diets, instead you will lose water weight. Similarly – low carb diets, low protein diets etc. that make you eat only a certain kind of food and not others are also not a very good method of weight loss.

Our own metabolism system play a vital part in controlling the amount of body fat burned in the process of providing energy to the body. Knowledge about our own metabolism function is the mother to all weight loss program. With the knowledge you not only reduce your weight but able to maintain an ideal weight and living a healthy life. Best of all you can eat what you most enjoyed without gaining any weight. The source will show you the way and it could probably safe your life as well.

How do I know which are the best weight loss programs?

March 16th, 2009 -- Posted in loss weight programs | 2 Comments »

I’m trying to choose a weight loss program but there are so many I don’t know which works and which don’t.

Choosing the right weight loss program can mean the difference between just wasting your money and actually losing weight.

There are so many programs out there from Jenny Craig to the Atkins diet and even the Chuck Norris total gym.

There are a few things you want to look for.

1.Do they have a diet plan that helps you create meals.
2.Do they have an effective exercise program.
3.Do they teach you how to keep the weight off.

Finding one that is legitimate is also tough. Here’s a link to an ehow article that talks about choosing the best weight loss programs and a couple of others that talk about weight loss.
